This is it right here so we’re going to be trying it on testing it out I’m going to be doing a full wear test so you guys can really see how this wears throughout the day so I just want to thank my good friends over at Merit for sending this to me early so I could write this for you guys which was actually the start of this comeback so I’m super excited for that and I have to share with you guys over the course of you know my treatment and going through all the chemotherapy and everything Merit is actually a very clean Beauty brand it’s award-winning Beauty brand and I super love the product and the one product from their brand that I super loved and felt comfortable putting on my skin during this time is actually the original Merit Beauty Great Skin.
I actually felt super safe putting this on my skin while going through all the treatments: the chemotherapy, the steroids, like the whole nine. I love like I absolutely love like I think I’ve gone through two or three of these bottles already and this one’s half full so this is one that you shake and you put on before which I’ll get into in a second but this I have to share with you guys if you guys remember a year ago my scar from my thyroid surgery was really red and look at how amazing this is this product it doesn’t claim it but seriously it does work I’m I’m here I’m telling you guys the truth I’ve got no makeup there’s absolutely no makeup on my face right now except on my eyes and brows but this just works like this minimized the redness and it took the redness out of the scar it just minimized it so much absolutely love this product hands down not a sponsored article telling you guys how much I love this product.
How to Use Merit Great Skin Priming Moisturizer?
This product got some usage instructions on the back so it says after cleansing we’re going to apply the great skin serum, I absolutely love this product it massage one to two pumps of this into the skin followed immediately by your next steps if that’s SPF you’re going to put SPF on or if it’s just straight makeup we’re going to do that now I am going to go in one side with SPF and one side with makeup so you guys can see the difference throughout the wear test throughout the day now this says here before moisturizer dries down so that’s their little tip so you’re going to put this on and just blend it in before it dries down I actually have been testing this out for two days now and I agree with that this dries Down super super fast just blend it out really quickly.
Step 1: Use Cleanser
But we’ll get into it. I’m going to tell you guys, so make sure you start with a clean face. Today I went in with the Barbara Sturm cleanser. I absolutely love this one, so this is the great skin instant glow serum. this is their original product that launched about just over a year ago so this you have to shake up before use it’s very very important and I’m going to go in with two pumps which is what I normally do we’re just going to warm that up in the palm of our hands and of course I always like to work up I never want to drag down so we’re just going to start by just applying this all over the face I concentrate right there but you know always go down and up and get your ears and behind your ears because Beauty tip definitely moisturize your ears you never you don’t want to get older and have that wrinkly skin on your ears when the rest of your face is Flawless because you’ve taken care of your whole face face you just don’t want that so always moisturize your ears.

Step 2: La Roche-Posay
So for the SPF today I’m going to use the LA Roche-Posay, and this is the ultra fluid. It’s a great, super-great SPF for your face, so this one you do have to shake; it’s very fluid. I’m just going to put like three or four drops on the back of my hand or on the palm of my hand, and I’m just going to apply this on one side, so it’ll be on my left side, what it’s going to look like under or actually over, I should say, over the top of SPF.
Step 3: Merit Great Skin Moisturizer
Finally we’re going to get into this brand new Merit product, so again, this is a priming moisturizer, meaning it is a moisturizer that is going to leave you with that cashmere-like finish, which is like actually really, really pretty. I’m going to show you guys, and that’s going to prime for your makeup, so I’m excited for this. This is one pump. I’m going to go in with two pumps I’m just going to apply this with my fingertips to start and then I’m going to blend it out with a brush because I’ve been playing around with it and this is how I like to apply this primer I’m going to get right under my eyes, I have a little bit of eye makeup on but the rest of my skin is bare it’s very translucent right now a little lighter a little translucent but again that’s the chemotherapy it will get better back to normal over time so to blend this out I am taking a merit foundation brush it’s just a clean brush and I’m just blending that into my skin this has absolutely no scent to it which I love I love that the brand did that because right now scents kind of nauseate me which we don’t like.
There are some scents I absolutely love, but some are just so strong it’s like being pregnant. I’m not pregnant, but it’s kind of like that morning sickness vibe, but this blends out beautifully over the top of the SPF going in.
Step 4: Merit Foundation and Concealer Stick
Today I’m going in with the Merit minimalist perfecting complexion foundation and concealer stick; this runs for about $52 Canadian. I’m going in with the color bone as always, so this is it right here. This is the shade bone. What I love about this is you just twirl it up super great. It is a stick foundation, but what I love about that is you can really get in underneath the eyes and, you know, get into those like problem areas, so I’m just going to start here on the non-SPF side, so I’m going to go in right under the eye. I’m just applying just a little bit to my face because we are going to be blending this out again, drawing down the center of my nose, going in to apply it on the side with the SPF. I’m kind of loving this kind of glass skin feel it’s giving me, so again I’m using a clean Merit brush, and I’m just going to blend that out in small circular motions. You guys have seen me use this product in the past, and I love it. It’s a beautiful foundation/concealer all in one. Grab and go; it’s super easy to use. Blends out like a dream looks phenomenal.
If you’re looking for that no-makeup makeup look for school, we are like, I’m just starting back, but this is such a great product. Okay, this looks flawless to me. This is giving me that glow from within, this just beautifully hydrated look. I am impressed. This is just stunning. I do really like to set this foundation.
Laura Mercier Ultra Blurring
So I am going to go in with a setting powder today. I’m going in with the blurring. I think this is ultra, yeah, ultra blurring from Laura Mercier. It’s just a classic, beautiful setting powder, so I’m just going to start with one of these little triangle puffs. I absolutely love these. I’ve been using them for literally years. I super love this because you can get right under the eye, like right into that corner, which is really hard to set.
Sometimes and especially like right here I bend it like that bend it tap in between like those side nose areas down your smile lines right there under your lip you just get into those really you know those areas right I go over my brow even though my brows are technically done already and I’m just going to tap the rest just where I need it I don’t go in with a ton of powder with this product you don’t need it like it just sets beautifully all right so I’ve gone in I’ve set my face this is giving me that glow from within this is just giving me everything I look hydrated I look moisturized this is a very blurring powder but this looks flawless I love this like this is giving me everything I need to look more youthful and just energetic and just happy like this is just amazing super loving this so far so I’m going to go in finish my makeup put a little bronzer on little lipstick and then I’m going to check in with you guys in a couple of hours and I’ll let you know how this wears throughout the day

I thought I would check in with you. This has been on for about 7 hours, and it has been a busy day starting up a job back again. It has been busy in and out of meetings and everything else, so I thought we would end the day at the puppy park, so I’m here with little puppy. This right here is amazing. This is holding up spectacularly. Again, it’s a super busy day in and out of meetings, wearing a mask, obviously, because I can’t go out in public yet without wearing a mask. The rest of the world can; I am immunocompromised, and I can’t, so this honestly is not moving. I can rub it as much as I want. This is the side with the sunscreen; this is the side without. Loving it. I did have a hive on my face earlier today. I don’t think it’s related. I think it’s more of a medication thing, but this is beautiful, absolutely stunning. Does it give a cashmere-like finish? Yes, it does. It builds, and it’s beautiful. I absolutely love it. Would I recommend it? Yes. 10 out of 10, like 100% I would recommend this; this is going to be something I would wear all the time now.
The sunscreen side Honestly, there’s no difference; it looks amazing, feels the same, it’s not moving, it’s not budging.
