Best Unisex Sunglasses 2025

These are our eight favorite pairs of glasses out right now. There are some really well-known brands like Maui Jim and Oakley on the table. There are some brands that you probably forgot about, like Serengeti, which are making some rad new stuff. And there are even some new brands like Article One that have some really cool concepts out there. Hey everybody, My name is Rob, and I’ve been in the eyewear industry for 20 years.

Top Unisex Sunglasses 2025 List

This year has been really fun because there are a lot of rad new glasses out that we’re really excited about. We’re going to go over all of these glasses and why we love them, what they’re for, who they fit, and if they’re a good pair for you.

Oakley Sunglasses

The first one we’re going to go over is a new one from Oakley. This is the Oakley actuator. And I actually think this is a really fun pair of glasses. They are really a unisex styling. They kind of combine these angles with some roundness. They’re very, very comfortable—really just a cool new kind of look and feel.

I feel like for Oakley, this is kind of a bold move. Very comfortable pair of glasses. They’ve added some functionality as well that we really like. Fully adjustable temples so you can get these to be really comfortable. They have a nose bridge saddle that’s really cool, but I think the main story with these is kind of this heart-shaped, angular, round square, kind of different; they’re kind of fun.

They’re selling really well, and they’re actually really comfortable. Another cool thing with this pair is that although they have an everyday look, you can definitely do some sports in these. I don’t know if I’d go downhill mountain biking per se in these, but for normal kinds of everyday jogging, hiking, just kind of sweating in a little bit. These are great.

Frame Colors: polished black frame, matte black frame, matte grey smoke frame, brown tortoise frame

Maui Jim Honokalani Sunglasses

Next on the table is my new favorite Maui Jim Honokalani. I’ve been a Maui Jim Red Sands guy for years, and to me this is the Maui Jim we’ve all been waiting for. It’s more fashion forward but doesn’t give up any of the functionality that Maui Jim is known for.

This material I’ve kind of dubbed nano nylon. Super thin material, unbelievably lightweight. Like they feel like nothing when you put them on. They have adjustable nose pads, no grip on the end piece, but because of this matte finish, they stay on really, really well. I think the true story here is you get the Maui Jim technology, but you get a lot more fashion, a lot more contemporary looks. I think these are not your dad’s Maui Jims anymore.

These are just a rad pair of glasses. I’ve had a pair of these in my prescription for a few months now. The lenses are unbelievable. I love driving in them long distances just because they disappear on your face, and that polarized technology cuts out all the glare.

Zeal Whittier Sunglasses

Next on the table, we got the Zeal Whittier. Zeal is actually owned by Maui Jim. You might not have heard of Zeal. I think this is one of the most underrated brands on the market right now. You get a lot of Maui Jim trickle-down technology with a lot less expensive of a price and really, really cool, unique styles. I love this tortoise shell that the Whittier comes in. Very comfortable pair of glasses, very clean pair of glasses.

I think this kind of shape right now is really hot, really comfortable. And then something else I really like is they have hidden nose pads and hidden temple grips. So you can actually do some pretty serious sports in these. You should get these if you’re looking for one pair of glasses. That’s going to work really well hiking, biking, and hanging out and has unbelievable polarized technology but a really fashionable contemporary look and feel.

Wiley X Founder Sunglasses

All right, next on the table is the WX founder. This pair is really cool if you need something safety rated, but you want something comfortable, modern, cool, and contemporary; you might have just found it.

So this pair, like I said, is safety rated like everything is from Wiley X. But the interesting part with these is you would really never know it. They’re just like an everyday pair of glasses. They’ve actually become Wiley X’s best seller, kind of overnight. They have this keyhole nose bridge, hidden nose pads, and hidden temple grips so they stay in place.

You can do sports with these even if you really wanted to; by the way, even if you get them in prescription, they’re still safety rated. Did I mention you can get all of these in prescription? You can. So they come with this removable side shield. But in some places some companies require the side shield to be not removable.

And they actually come with a plug once you put it in there. The side shield is not removable. So if that’s important to you as well, you’ve got a full safety-rated pair of glasses with an everyday, modern, really comfortable look.

Moon Article One Sunglasses

New brand alert. We got the Article One Moon. So Article One is a new brand here, a new brand on the marketplace. New for SportRx, the concept and idea with article one really is fashion glasses that you can sweat in. So a lot of times we have these kinds of sunglasses on this side of the table that are sport glasses that look kind of more like fashion-y. This is the other way around. These are fashion glasses that you can sweat in.

So what they’ve done is add this rubberized adjustable nose pad and a little bit of rubber grip. This is really mixing that function and fashion world. But from the other way around, I love the clear frame on this. I love that you can see the metal inside so that the frame is adjustable. Really cool.

G15 colored lens on here. Very comfortable making waves right now in the industry. Actually, Article One is killing it.

Wayne Serengeti Sunglasses

You really can’t talk about sunglasses without talking about aviators. This next one is from Serengeti. It’s called the Wayne It is really cool to me for a couple of things. I love the shape of the lenses. Not a traditional full aviator, not like a completely squared-off navigator. Has a little bit of angularity to it, which I think looks really good.

They have spring hinges, they have glass lenses, and they have adjustable nose pads. I love the color. I love the color of the lens. And speaking of the lens, they’re actually photochromatic Serengeti. For generations, it has been known for their driver technology, where the lenses are photochromatic and they actually change in the car as well, which is rare.

(05:57) And you can even get these in prescription in glass with photochromatic lenses. I have a pair. They work so, so well. If you’re looking for something a little bit dressier, a little bit classier, a little bit more buttoned up, if you need to wear a suit and tie, maybe one of those summer weddings this year. This pair is going to be amazing.

Heat Wave Sunglasses

All right. We’re going to talk about safety glasses again. This is the Heat Wave Performance Vise Black Z87+. Heat Wave is a Northern California brand that is growing tremendously fast. This is their newest model. Their Vise has been around for a while, but this is the Vise performance.

And really what they’ve done is added rubberized nose pads, rubberized temples, and a really slick, interchangeable side shield removal system where they just come out really fast. So kind of like that. Wiley X, if you’re looking for something that’s going to be safety rated, but you want an everyday pair of glasses, this Vise is a great, great option.

They also come in two sizes. They’re unbelievably durable. They’re very affordable. You can get them in prescription. And to me it’s really cool to support an independent brand from Northern California. They’ve added this metal icon here. The palm tree logo has become really cool, really popular.

If you need something safety rated, but you want to be able to do pretty much any sport and wear them just hanging out. This heat wave performance vise is a great option.

Frame Size: Temple 155.0 mm, H:49 mm, W: 142 mm

Lens: Non-Polarized and Polarized

Price: $70.00

Sport Rx Sunglasses

But we can’t talk about sunglasses without talking about sport glasses. So this is the SportRx Olsen, which has adjustable nose pads, adjustable temples, interchangeable lenses, and a true sport look. They work really well on the bike if you’re in the aero position. I’m a pretty avid mountain biker. A couple of my friends have gotten these in prescription with the Hero Dirt lens, which is fantastic for on the trails, and people are just loving this pair.

Also, they’re really affordable. They start at $150 with prescription lenses, so that’s a pretty impossible deal to beat. And they come with a hard case. They come with our amazing warranty. So this is the SportRx Olsen, a true sport frame open on the bottom. Really hard to fog up, adjustable everything. Just a fantastic pair of sport glasses.

Lens: W: 59 mm, H: 44 mm

Frame: Bridge W: 17 mm, Frame Width: 136 mm, Temple Arm Length: 130 mm

Frame Color: Matte Black, Polished White, Matte Grey

Lens Color: Grey Polarized, Rose Inferno, No Lenses

Conclusion

Well, that was a lot to talk about. We had that Oakley Actuator, which has a really cool new unique shape and is super comfortable. The Honokalani, which I wear and love. They’re great for bigger heads, they’re super fashionable, they’re very functional. The Zeal I think is really cool. If you’re looking for something a little bit different. Really high-function, not too expensive, polarized, super rad pair of glasses. We got the Wiley X Founder, which is already Wiley X’s best seller. And I think it’s because you’ve combined super safety-rated glasses with a really modern, comfortable look.

The Article One Moon is super rad. Lightweight fashion pair of glasses that you can actually sweat in. Very unique, very cool small brand. We’re loving them. Serengeti is back! I’ve always loved Serengeti, especially their lens technology. This Serengeti Wayne I think has a very unique shape and is very comfortable.

If you’re looking for something a little bit dressier, the Heat Wave Vise is a really good all-arounder, safety rated. Great for sports, great for everyday lifestyle. Pair of glasses. Just a great pair of all-around glasses. And then if you need something for sport, especially in prescription, you cannot beat the SportRx Olsen with this adjustability. It’s comfort and its price point.

Well, that was a lot of really cool new pairs of glasses out on the market. Hopefully you found something at this Met Gala blog that might be right for you. If you’re not sure and you have more questions, you can leave a comment down in the comment section.
